A Private Clifftop Proposal in Uluwatu, Bali
Some places make the question feel inevitable. This clifftop at Karang Boma, with the Uluwatu Temple headland rising out of the haze across the bay, is one of them.
For this proposal, the brief was simple: soft, romantic and completely private. The result was an ivory setup nestled into white bougainvillea on the cliff edge, with nothing between the couple and the Indian Ocean.
The Setup: Ivory, Candlelight and Ocean Air
We kept the palette deliberately soft so the view could do the talking. A petal-strewn aisle led to a low wooden table dressed in white linen, set with a champagne bucket and a small posy of peach roses. At either side of the aisle, dried pampas and bunny-tail grass mingled with fresh roses and calla lilies, surrounded by pillar candles in glass and black-framed lanterns. White fabric draped from the branches overhead framed the scene like a curtain opening onto the sea.
